Chimney Fire Sweater Kit (Moon Purple or Blood Orange)

Designed by Melissa J. Goodale of Stick Chick Knits, this cardigan will be an elegant staple to add to your wardrobe and will indeed be a pleasure to knit.

Cozy up by the hearth and break out your needles for Chimney Fire, a lush cardigan sweater pattern. Named for a cocktail made of amaretto, cinnamon, and hot apple cider, Chimney Fire features moss stitch, cables, and ribbing that will chase off the chill of cool winter nights. Even though it features top-down constructions, this Chimney Fire will have you saying “bottoms up!”

This sweater is meant to fit across the back and have open front panels. The back measurements for this garment are from mid-underarm to mid-underarm (where side seams would be) across the back of the finished sweater. This number is not, necessarily, half the bust measurement. 

Gauge: 18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in American Moss Stitch

Needle Size: US 8 - 5.0 mm

Yardage: 1225 - 1925 yards (1120 - 1760 m)

Sizes available: 15.75 [17, 19.25, 20.75, 22.75, 25, 26.75] in/40 [43.2, 48.9, 52.7, 57.8, 63.5, 67.9] cm; Finished Back at Underarm Measurement 

Approximate yardage needed for the sweater is 1060 [1140, 1250, 1340, 1465, 1620, 1750] yds/ 969 [1042, 1143, 1225, 1340, 1481, 1600] m. This is 7 [7, 8, 8, 9, 10, 11] skeins of Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Worsted.

Moon Purple is an XS (15.75") shown on a 32” bust and the Blood Orange is a S (17") shown on a 35" bust.
