The V Tee is a top-down construction that features v-shaping that begins at the start of the ribbed neckband and continues all the way down to the hem. The v-shaping is created by a series of paired increases that surrounds a graceful spine, and side decreases offset the widening fabric. Two sets of German short rows even up the hems. The designer designed this tee to be worn as a v on your back but our model has opted to wear it with the v in front - it's perfectly shaped to be versatile so you can choose how to wear it! The mannequin photos show it front forward.

The design calls for various skeins faded into each other but we took the guesswork out for you and knit this up in our lux blanx that gradiates from one colour to the next as you knit it without your having to worry about fading. For everything but the smallest size, you will be able to use both colours as pictured. Our sample knitter started with Rice Thai colourway then moved onto our Raspberry colourway to finish.

Our sample knitter knit size 6 (51" bust) and her notes are as follows if you'd like to use the 2 colours as she did (please also note her gauge needle sizes which are different from what the pattern calls for - you may experience the same):

"I got gauge on US4 and used US2 when it called for a smaller needle (for ribbing, etc.) Because I used gradient yarns I only had one color transition to work in, between ball 1 and ball 2. I worked it as follows: Ball 2 - 2 rows Ball 1 - 4 rows Ball 2 - 2 rows Ball 1 - 2 rows then I cut ball 1 and continued with ball 2. Because I transitioned from ball 1 to ball 2 when I ran out of ball 1, my transition happened in the first short row section. If you can avoid this, I would. But if you need to, keep the yarn transitions easy by carrying the unused color along with your knit stitches for the first 4 stitches of each right side row as you would in colorwork knitting (and catch your floats.)"
